Sarah has been a nurse for over 20 years, having graduated from Red River College in Winnipeg in 2002. She completed her nursing degree from the University of Manitoba and from there went to the University of Toronto to graduate with a Masters of Science in Community Health, specializing in Wound Prevention and Care. It was after doing her research and graduate work on the diabetic foot that she devoted her career to the field of foot and wound care. Sarah has completed numerous certificates and courses in the field of foot care including the "Comprehensive Management of the Neuropathic Foot" through the US Department of Health and Human Services.

Sarah has extensive nursing experience clinically as well as academically. It is with this passion and knowledge that she provides the best care to each of her clients. She uses a client centered approach which means that she considers the clients' individual needs and preferences, and ensures that the client is an active participant in their care decisions.

Sarah is an active member of the Canadian Association of Foot Care Nurses (CAFCN) as well as the Canadian/American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA).
Outside of nursing, Sarah has completed a Masters degree in Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine (MSc) as well as a 500 RYT (yoga teacher) certificate. She is passionate about holistic medicine and has found that integrating traditional medicine into modern life is key to overall balance.
She has also completed her diploma in Counselling Therapy through the Vancouver College of Counselling Therapists. She is currently working on her Doctorate in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
For fun, you can find Sarah enjoying time with her family- her husband, kids and dogs. Her and her husband love to kiteboard and can be found at Nitnat Lake camping and kiting.
